Get involved
You can start today.
The Pink Shoelace Foundation is early, and growing carefully. Here is what is real to do right now, and a way to let us know how you'd like to be involved.
Our core programs
Three ways the Foundation carries out its mission
Sponsored Access
Funding participation in structured grief-support programs for individuals facing financial hardship, with priority given to underserved populations such as youth aging out of foster care, family members who are caregivers of elderly parents who have Alzheimer’s/Dementia, parents who’ve experienced miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant loss.
Community Connection
Organizing volunteer-based service that pairs practical support with companionship for people actively navigating loss.
Public Awareness
Educating communities and organizations on recognizing and responding to grief in its many forms, through the Foundation’s pink shoelace symbol and public outreach.
Real, right now
Wear one
Wear a pink shoelace. Let it be a quiet signal, whether you are carrying grief or walking beside someone who is.
Notice someone
Notice, ask, listen, and remember with someone in your own life this week. That is the mission, in practice.
Share the idea
Tell someone about the Pink Shoelace Foundation, and what the lace means. Point them to this site.
Let us know you're in
Tell us how you'd like to be involved. This isn't a financial transaction or a formal registration -- it's how we find out who's out there.
Thank you for letting us know.
We received it.
The Foundation does not yet accept donations online, and this form does not register you for anything automatically.
